He was born on September 3, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late James and Frances (Passamante) Granato and was married to Mildred (Paul) Granato for 65 years. He served in the US Army and was a retired fireman for the city of Philadelphia. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors.

Anthony is survived by his wife Mildred Granato of Wellsboro, PA, two sons: Anthony (Cathy) Granato, Eric Granato, both of Philadelphia, PA, five daughters: Diane (Ray) Rodriguez of Mansfield, PA, Linda Granato of Philadelphia, PA, Michele Granato of Lynn, MA, Donna (Bob) Granato-Ritter of Wellsboro, PA, Nicole (John) Orlando of Wellsboro, PA, son-in-law: Arthur Otolo of Revere, MA, two sisters, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter: Theresa Otolo.
