She was born July 28, 1950 in Wellsboro, a daughter of Stewart and Lydia Mae (Cook) Carson, and was the wife of Rexford D. Cummings, Jr. Bonnie was formerly employed by Citizens and Northern Bank, Wellsboro.

She is survived by her husband, Rex; son, Vernon Rouse of Middlebury Center; two daughters, Rebecca (Roger) Davis of North Carolina; two step-sons: Bradley (Kristi) Cummings of New York; Shawn Cummings of North Carolina; two brothers, William (Bonnie) Carson of Wellsboro; James (Pat) Carson of Mansfield; sister, Betty (Jim) Thorton of Wellsboro; two sisters-in-law: Connie Carson and Eva Carson, both of Wellsboro; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, a sister, a great-granddaughter and a step-son.

A viewing will be held Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., Wellsboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Keith Williams officiating.
