Clayton R. Simonds, age 72, of Addison, NY, died on Monday, November 4, 2024.  He was born on December 16, 1951 in Tioga, PA, a son of the late Oscar and Mildred (Cole) Simonds and was a general contractor for most of his life.  He enjoyed riding horses, history and genealogy.  Clayton is survived by his life partner: Theresa Owens of Addison, NY and her two daughters and three grandsons, brothers: Cliff Simonds of Wellsboro, PA, Karl (Cheri Wheatley) Simonds of Tioga, PA, and a sister: Donna (Eric) Packard of Mansfield, PA.  He was predeceased by 4 sisters: Alice Cosey, Irene Simonds, Joyce Sly and Loretta Simonds and a brother: Calvin Simonds.  A private family graveside service will be held at the Hammond Cemetery, Tioga, PA.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. www.carletonfh.com Wellsboro, PA.
