David R. Benedict, Jr. age 54, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on January 23, 1970 in Hancock, NY, a son of David R. and Linda L Benedict, Sr. and was married to Heather A. (DeVantier) Benedict.  Dave was a program manager for Infinera of Sunnyvale, CA and a member of Christ Church, Wellsboro, PA.  He enjoyed hunting, building and fixing things, being outdoors, traveling riding his four-wheeler, listening to country music and especially spending time with his family.  He is survived by his parents: David and Linda Benedict, Sr. of Blossburg, PA, wife: Heather A. Benedict of Wellsboro; sons: Stephen (Jennell) Benedict of Reno, NV, Dan (Amanda Puff) Caron of Centre Hall, PA, Thomas (Danashia Long) Benedict of Irwin, PA, daughter: Brooke (Jacob) Benedict-Prokop of Endwell, NY, brother: Michael Benedict of Ionia, MI, step-sons: Jeremy (Madison Ellingson) DiVirgilio of Tonawanda, NY, Jordan DiVirgilio of Tonawanda, NY and three grandchildren.  A memorial service honoring David's life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Christ Church, Wellsboro, PA at 10:30 am, with Rev. T.J. Freeman and Rev.
