Denison W. Young, age 88, of Wellsboro, PA, formerly of Syracuse, NY, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.  He was born on August 28, 1933 in Corning, NY a son of the late George H. and Priscilla (Williams) Young and was married to Adele (Schepp) Young for 51 years.  Denny attended Hamilton College, Clinton, NY and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, Philadelphia.  He operated his oral surgery business in Syracuse, NY for 41 years and retired to Wellsboro, PA.  In retirement, Denny enjoyed being active in the community by being a member of the Wellsboro Water Board and singing with the Wellsboro Men's Chorus.  Denny loved to go to car auctions, buying and fixing up cars.  He loved playing piano, was an avid reader and enjoyed walking.  He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Wellsboro, PA.  Denny is survived by his wife: Adele (Schepp) Young of Wellsboro, PA, daughter: Meredith (Brian) Canning of Hendersonville, NC, two sisters: Sheilah Prevost of South Norwalk, CT, Virginia Gill of Huntingdon, PA three grandchildren: Grace Canning, Katherine Canning and Matthew Canning and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 10:30 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Wellsboro, PA with Rev.
