She was born on April 21, 1926 in Peebles, Scotland, the same day as Queen Elizabeth. Elizabeth was the daughter of the late William J. and Mary (Ellis) Sanderson and was married for 70 years to Clair W. Brumgard. She was a family oriented woman who enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, singing, ballroom dancing and was a fabulous cook.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband Clair Brumgard of Gaines, PA, three sons and daughters-in-law: James and Sherry Brumgard of Lansing, MI, Robert and Marjorie Brumgard of Humble, TX, David and Cathy Brumgard of Chattanooga, TN, three daughters and sons-in-law: Andrea and Steve Mathis of Rancocas, NJ, Susan and Jim Smith of Gaines, PA, Marie and Steve Heil of Sammamish, WA, sister-in-law: Marion Sanderson of Canada, 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
