Joan F. (Reichert) Kjelgaard, age 93, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, April 14, 2022.  She was born on October 5, 1928 in Jamaica, NY a daughter of the late Frederick and Isabel (Dunleavy) Reichert and was the wife of the late LeRoy Kjelgaard.  Joan was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Galeton, PA, the Gaines Thimble Club, the Republican Party and was the Gaines Township Tax Collector for many years.  She enjoyed reading, knitting and making stuffed bears.  Joan is survived by two sons: Kurt (Karen) Kjelgaard of Anderson, SC, Dain Kjelgaard of TN, daughter: Candace (Rande) Callahan of Wellsboro, PA, and seven grandchildren: Jennifer Kjelgaard McKinney, Kyle Kjelgaard, Krystjan Callahan, Nathaniel Callahan, Ethan Callahan, Eric Kjelgaard and Danielle Kjelgaard.  A family memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., www.carletonfh.com Wellsboro, PA.
