Leona R. (Jones) Ward, age 100, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.  She was born on October 6, 1918 in Elkland, PA a daughter of the late Evan and Anna (Plumley) Jones and was the wife of 74 years of Robert B. Ward, Sr. who passed away in 2015.  Leona was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro, PA.  She is survived by two sons: Robert (Donna) Ward, Jr. of Perry, GA, Thomas "Tom" Ward of FL, two daughters: Sylvia (John) Wilson of Mansfield, PA, Diane Jackson of PA, 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.  A viewing will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 10 to 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey McCleary officiating.  Interment will be in the Welsh Settlement Cemetery, Wellsboro, PA.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., www.carletonfh.com, Wellsboro, PA.
