Ralph L. Jones, Sr., age 84 of Tioga passed away at his home on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Born August 22, 1939 in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late David R. and Ethel M. (Husted) Jones. Ralph married Ann E. Bodycott and they have shared 65 years together. He retired from the USPS as a carrier in Wellsboro after many years. He is a member of the Tyoga Loyal Arch Chapter #194 and the Tioga Masonic Lodge #373. Ralph enjoyed hunting and fishing, was the lawn ranger but most of all loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He was known for his Jonesboro Village Train set up in his basement and enjoyed the school kids classes that would come to see it. He is survived by his wife, Ann E. Jones; daughters, Sherry and John Reed of Bradenton, FL and Lynne and Scott Kriner of Wellsboro; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and a cousin, Shirley Miller of Wellsboro. Ralph was preceded in death by two sons, R.J. Jones, Jr. and Joseph D. Jones and a granddaughter Jenna Kriner. Family will receive friends at the Ossea Masonic Temple #317 in Wellsboro on Sunday, August 4th from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Ralph's Life and refreshments will follow at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his memory to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, 725 Gee Road, Tioga, PA 16946. Arrangements are in care of the Carleton Funeral Home, Wellsboro.
