Richard M. Boyce, age 90, of Wellsboro, PA passed away on July 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 15, 1933 in Wellsboro, PA and was a son to the late John and Martha (Mays) Boyce. Dick joined the United States Army after graduating high school where he proudly served for 41 years before retiring. He also retired from North Penn Gas Company after working as a serviceman for several years. Dick enjoyed mowing his lawn, going on day trips once a month with his army buddies, attending senior day at the Tioga County Fair, spending time with horses and seeing older tractors. Back in Dick's youth he enjoyed hunting, camping, snowmobiling, watching sports with his children and grandchildren, and traveling to places like Germany, Florida and California. Richard is survived by his children, Sheila Hager, Scot (Pam) Boyce and Pam (Mike) English; grandchildren, Tina, Richard, Scot Jr., Brad and Chad; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both his parents; his wife, Doris E. (Kelly) Boyce; two sons, James L. and Mike Boyce; grandson, JR English; grandson-in-law, Kevin L. Smith; son-in-law, Tom Hager and 7 siblings. Family and friends are called to visitation at the Ossea Masonic Lodge #317, 8 Kelsey Street Wellsboro, PA on Monday, July 29th from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. A memorial service with military and masonic honors will be held immediately following at 2:00pm with Pastor Bill Baker officiating.
