Russell D. "Pops" Jelliff, age 77, of Knoxville, PA, beloved brother, father, grandfather and friend, answered heaven's call in the first hour of the morning on August 21, 2022.  He was born on August 10, 1945 in Osceola, PA a son of the late Charles and Fannie (Bollen) Jelliff and was the husband of the late Dianne (Persing) Jelliff.  Russell was a kind man, a loving man, an excellent father and a Christian.  He had a sense of humor that sometimes left those around him red-faced.  His heart was huge and the lives he touched will live on as his legacy.  He leaves behind a bounty of adoring children, grandchildren and great grandchildren too numerous to list, but who know well who they are as well as four sisters and two brothers.  He was predeceased by his eldest brother.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:30 am at the Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville, PA with Pastor Bill O'Neil officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. www.carletonfh.com Wellsboro, PA.
