Ruth G. (Chilson) Patterson, age 84, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.  She was born on May 14, 1937 in Blossburg, PA a daughter of the late Clarence and Bernice (Shaw) Chilson and was the wife of the late Preston L. Patterson, Jr.  Ruth had worked at Mergenthaler, Wundies, Corning Glass Works and Ames all of Wellsboro, PA.  She attended the Wellsboro Church of Christ and loves collecting dolls, sewing, doing puzzles, crocheting, beating everyone playing checkers, and spending time with her family.  Ruth is survived by two daughters: Gwen (Bill) Stokes, Pam (Merv) Tipple both of Wellsboro, PA, sister: Mary (Ben) Stone of Wellsboro, PA, sisters in law: Linda Chilson of Dalton, GA, Malene Chilson of Mechanicsburg, PA, Bette Chilson of Wellsboro, PA, grandchildren: Alesia (Seth) Blosser of Catonsville, MD, Travis Hagar of Boalsburg, PA, Jason Patterson of Wellsboro, PA, Catherine (Terry) Rowland of Wellsboro, PA, Derek (Leigh-Ann Konzen) Tipple of Wellsboro, PA, three great grandchildren and one more expected in April.  She was predeceased by a son: Mark Patterson, three brothers: Robert Chilson, Don Chilson and Tom Chilson.  Interment will be in the Wellsboro Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. www.carletonfh.com Wellsboro, PA.
